our story so far…

our story.

Cotton started back in 2013 with a simple idea: serve proper coffee, make unreal sarnies, and create a place people actually want to hang out in. In 2020, we moved into our home at Halle St Peters in Manchester, giving us the space to grow, experiment and really dial in what Cotton is all about.

Since then, things have moved pretty quickly. We opened our second site at Neptune Mill in December 2024, followed by two more locations in 2025 at Goods Yard in Stoke on Trent and Civic in Wigan. Same Cotton energy, new neighbourhoods.

what we are.

At our core, we care about doing things properly. Quality coffee, made with beans from people who know their stuff. Freshly made sarnies that are generous, comforting and never boring. Spaces that feel relaxed, welcoming and easy to spend time in, whether you are working for the afternoon or catching up with mates.

We are big on community, local flavour and keeping things independent. No fuss, no nonsense, just good food, great coffee and even better vibes. From your morning brew to your afternoon pick me up and everything in between, that’s Cotton.

Our Mission.

serve the good stuff.

To make properly good coffee and unreal sarnies, using quality fresh ingredients and doing things the right way, every day.

create spaces people love.

To create cosy, welcoming spots were everyone feels at home, whether you are working, meeting mates or just popping in for a brew.

support local and stay indie

To champion quality local suppliers, back our communities and keep Cottons proudly indie charm as we grow.
